Universal Scanner Drivers?
I recently installed windows 95 and have been experiencing hang ups when I use the scanner (especially during 300dpi OCR). I have to reboot to get the scanner to work again. The drivers I have are old (the install program I have on the Data Source disk says version 1.33 and the file dates are from 1993 and 1994),

Umax charging for scanner drivers
The driver sjiix2.sys requires os2aspi.dmd to be loaded. Before you do anything else, reboot with this load line: BASEDEV=OS2ASPI.DMD /SHARE /ALL and see if it shows up. These two parameters have straightened out a lot of problems I've had over the years getting scanner drivers loaded.

have a Microtek 35t film scanner that Microtek says is not compatible with Windows 98. Something about the drivers. I thought that drivers were written software. Why can drivers not be written for the 35t? Or is it that Microtek just isn't doing it? I was told it is not possible, by Microtek.
